John Stewart Speech

John Stewart made a hilarious graduation speech for William and Mary College. His speech was very entertaining making it a very easy read. At my high school graduation, I had a speech similar to this one given by our class president. He, like John, put jokes throughout his speech to liven up the usually boring environment. While I was reading John Stewart's I was really laughing out loud, he was hilarious. I really enjoyed the fact that he still got his point across to the graduating class, while still putting his comedy flavor into it.

Ideas

For this new assignment i have a few ideas in mind, but one that i really want to do.  I was thinking that maybe i would go to like Dunkin' Donuts and observe some coffee drinker and my other idea would be just anywhere on campus that a group of people are. I have no been going to Bridgewater long enough to know where any of these places are, but i don't think it would be too hard to find. Finally, the one I'm most interested in doing is to go to Brockton hospital and observe the emergency waiting room. That place is always crazy and could be very easy and fun to write about and interview people.

Identity

Our first reading in class was all based on identity. We all looked at the three main assumptions that go along with what people think make our identity.I believe that these three assumptions: identity is what you're born with, its shaped by culture, and that it is shaped by personal choices are truly what identity is made of. Assumption number one is all factors of our identity that we had no control over. Assumption number are the outside factors that effect you on a everyday basis that you don't necessarily realize. The third and final assumption is your personal choices, things like the friends you pick or the activities you choose to get involved in.
